Apple’s decision to remove the built-in SCSI on the new Power Mac G3 & G4s allows users to take advantage of Miles Bluenote’s many benefits as well. It takes advantage of the 133 Mbytes/second burst rate of the PCI bus. Combined with extremely low overhead, Miles Bluenote host adapters are faster than Apple’s previously built-in external SCSI ports.
